Challenges Faced by Stray Dogs around the world

Stray dogs face many challenges that threaten their well-being. They often suffer from starvation and dehydration due to lack of food and clean water. Abuse and mistreatment from humans are common, leading to severe injuries and trauma. Environmental accidents, like being hit by vehicles, result in serious harm or death. Without access to veterinary care, many dogs endure untreated illnesses, and rabies is a significant risk due to lack of vaccinations. Overpopulation worsens these problems, and mental health issues, such as anxiety and fear, are often overlooked.
